• Storage: Never stored permanently; immediately discarded after processing

2. Current Website URL

• What: The URL of the webpage where you’re using dictation
• Why: To provide context-appropriate formatting (e.g., formal for Gmail, casual for Slack)
• Duration: Processed immediately and not stored
• Storage: Never stored; used only during the formatting process

3. User Settings

• What: Your Groq API key, language preference, AI model selection, and custom formatting instructions
• Why: To enable the extension to function according to your preferences
• Storage: Stored locally using Chrome’s storage.sync API
• Sync: May sync across your devices if Chrome Sync is enabled

Data Processing

• Voice recordings are sent to Groq’s API (https://api.groq.com) via HTTPS encryption
• Groq processes the audio using AI models for transcription and formatting
• The formatted text is returned and inserted into your webpage
• No data is retained after processing

Third-Party Services

We use Groq’s API services for:

• Speech-to-text transcription (Whisper model)
• Text formatting (Large Language Models)

• All API communications use HTTPS encryption
